OncoSeer Diagnostics, Inc. (OncoSeer), a collaboration with UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), is developing multimarker blood tests that diagnose and predict immune related adverse events (irAE) in oncology patients undergoing immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy.

Jeff Stone

Co-Founder & CEO, Board Member

  • Serial entrepreneur / private investor in multiple early stage-technology & healthcare startups in the US
  • Former Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at UTSW and worked in a leadership role in conjunction with faculty to facilitate the exclusive licensing of IP and raising start-up capital for a novel medical device
  • Leads day-to-day operations of OncoSeer including corporate governance, finance, corporate priorities such as incorporation and the licensing of IP from UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW)

David Gerber MD

Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer

  • Professor of Internal Medicine (Hematology-Oncology) & the O’Donnell School of Public Health at UTSW
  • Previously served as Associate Director of Clinical Research and as Co-Leader of the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the Harold C Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • >20 publications on immune checkpoint inhibitor associated adverse events
  • 3 externally funded grants in support of immune checkpoint inhibitor predictive biomarkers
  • Dr. Gerber serves as Chief Scientific Officer of OncoSeer in a consulting role

Jason Park MD, PhD

Co-Founder & Chief Laboratory Officer

  • Professor of Pathology & the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development at UTSW
  • Medical Director of the Advanced Diagnostics Laboratory at Children’s Health Dallas
  • Developed, validated and clinically implemented >30 clinical tests under US Federal regulations (CLIA certification) and accreditation by the College of American Pathologists; serves as clinical laboratory inspector
  • 13 issued US patents on cancer diagnostics, cancer therapeutics and nanotechnology
  • Dr. Park serves as Chief Laboratory Officer in a consulting role

Danny Tobey MD, JD

  • Partner with DLA Piper, a global law firm
  • Attorney, medical doctor & software entrepreneur who represents life sciences, technology and healthcare clients in a variety of regulatory and litigation matters involving FDA, CDC, HHS, CMS, private payers, and tort and commercial litigants
  • Leads his firm's team that assists companies navigating the legal landscape of emerging and disruptive technologies including AI (artificial intelligence) and data science
